A Little Bit
About Me

My Fitness Journey

I've been a Certified Personal Trainer for over five years. I've coached in a wide variety of settings from boutique gyms and strength-training studios to corporate group fitness settings. I'm also an RYT-200 Yoga Instructor and completed a Nutrition Coach program which allows me to provide a more holistic, whole-person approach to an individual's health and wellness journey.

My journey into strength training began in college and continued to grow into a deep love for movement, endurance training, and race-specific training. Recently, I've been delving into learning more about the mind-body connection and the impact movement, breathwork, and a regular yoga practice can have on our nervous system. For the last few years, I have been navigating chronic, digestive issues which eventually led me to have to adopt a completely gluten, dairy, soy-free diet. The ongoing challenge of my own health issues has caused me to become more flexible, compassionate, and aware of how difficult (yet totally possible!) training can be in the midst of whatever life throws our way.

Within the last year, I have developed a passion for the practice of yoga, breathwork, and the Christian contemplative prayer tradition. These practices have helped me reshape my identity, become more intentional in every area of my life, and become aware of how much I want others to experience this freedom. I have built a system of habits and structure in my life which has helped to re-shape my identity and formed me deeply. Now, I help others build strong, confident bodies and identities through resistance training, while also building a system of habits that supports their ability to be present and at peace in their bodies and minds.

The Vision Behind
Reside Wellness

The Name

The word "Reside" means "to live, to dwell, to exist or be present, to make a home in a place."  In a culture that constantly pushes 75-day challenges, extreme, unsustainable lifestyle changes, and an ever-shifting narrative about the ideal body type; I want to help clients choose to permanently reside in a state of true wellness. An active lifestyle has to move from external acts to an internal identity.

My coaching integrates strength training and habit-tracking to help you build confidence in your body and your mind. I focus on helping each client create a consistent, sustainable, ACTIVE lifestyle, that they can actually enjoy while pursuing their goals. My approach is rooted in the belief that outcomes are the result of systems. If you have the right system, you can achieve ANY goal.

Yoga Practice

Mobility and Mindfulness

I started practicing yoga during a season of my life marked by intense anxiety from a variety of internal and external stressors. Through the physical practice of yoga, I was able to learn how to better navigate my body's response to stress, ground myself when feeling scattered, or overwhelmed, and help my body slow down and recover properly during seasons of intense physical training. Yoga (as well as various breathwork practices) has also provided an incredible framework for deepening my prayer life. I’ve combined elements from my physical yoga practice with Centering Prayer (a Christian contemplative tradition) to grow in my own experiential, faith journey.

Private yoga sessions are available as an add-on to any training package.

I also offer monthly group yoga classes both

in-person and virtually.
